A course for intermediate users who would like to use Revit for volumetric form finding, space planning and early stage design. Traditional alternatives include Sketchup with a mix of Photoshop, excel and sometimes Rhino or Grasshopper. This course is suited for individuals looking to achieve early stage feasibility mass models in Revit without the need to spread work across several design applications.
The course is a series of formal lessons hands-on workshops over two days which guide delegates step by step through Concept Mass, its capabilities and how to develop design options within a project. The course is; Focused, need to know, practical, realistic and includes real world examples of usage.
This course does not cover; Adaptive components, computational design, pattern based families. We can provide bespoke training on these subjects if necessary.
Manipulating forms and experimenting with shapes, defining profiles, lofting & swept bends

Who Should Attend
This course is suitable for anyone looking to combine the toolset of several applications into Revit as a single design tool to streamline the design workflow process and outputs.
After attending this course, delegates will be able to:
• Understand, Navigate & Create Concept Mass and its tools
• Develop multiple options using Concept Mass accurately
• Understand the Geometry Formation File
• Produce Example Presentation Sheets
• Understand Concept Mass Families
• Apply Materials to Mass forms
• Add detail to mass forms
• Apply Revit elements to mass forms
All training is carried out at your office. Delegates will require laptops or PCs with at least the demo/trial of Autodesk Revit installed as a minmumum requirement. The version of Revit used in the training should be consistent across all delegates computers i.e. Revit 2015 or 2016. If in doubt please ask us.
Training will commence at 10am. A 10 minute comfort break will be shceduled mid morning and mid afternoon. A 1hr lunch break will be scheduled to suit your preferred time. The course will conclude at 5pm. At your request we can change the training times to 9:30 – 4:30 if required.
